30 Jul Define your Prosperous Self
Money impacts everyone on a daily basis, touches every aspect of a business and will always be a part of our lives. Yet, many people still feel disconnected and uncomfortable when dealing with their finances.
The truth, money is always about emotion and how you feel and think when looking at your numbers.
Since life is always about growth and expansion, it is important to ask …
“Am I growing in the direction I desire?” (especially where money is concerned)
Do you give yourself the freedom to embrace prosperity? Have you thought about what it truly looks like for you (on your terms) to be successful and thriving?
If your current financial situation does not support your goals in business or life, it is time for a change.
When you want something different for yourself, you have to think and act differently. And, you cannot wait for money to start rolling in before you feel prosperous or abundant. You must embrace that new identity first.
Dr. Wayne Dyer eloquently stated,
“Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into.”
It’s time to create a feeling of certainty about yourself regarding money.
Mindset is key when it comes to making more money, especially if your “old” self has been used to “just getting by financially”. How often have you heard yourself (or someone close to you) say …
- I can’t afford it.
- There is never enough to go around.
- My financial situation is not going to change.
You cannot build a new financial future with an old mindset! First, get crystal clear on your new financial goal, then start asking questions to create a strong vision moving forward.
As someone who makes that amount (whether it is 100K or 100M … your choice):
- What does your physical environment look like?
- What do you focus on during the day? (work, fitness, business growth, personal development, etc.)
- Where are you working (change careers, start your own business, relocate)?
- What are you delegating?
- What are you no longer tolerating in your life?
It is important to elaborate on the last question. When we tolerate situations, environments, and people because of money (or lack thereof), we become ensconced in a comfort zone that keeps us stuck in our money story.
It’s OK I’m not living in a bigger place.
It’s OK I’m not earning more money.
It’s OK to have credit card debt.
Do any of the above sound familiar? We can easily talk ourselves into tolerating less than what we truly desire.
The good news, you can expand your Money Comfort Zone by defining your Prosperous Self! Connecting with your new identity is the bridge that supports bigger numbers in all areas of your life (more money coming in, more savings, etc.).
Start making decisions from where you want to be.
What would a successful, thriving person do in your situation? Express gratitude for what already exists in your life and for what is yet to come. Once you “see” yourself prospering, you can reverse engineer to create the strategies and action steps that will help you achieve your financial goals.
Mindset first, mechanics second!
So, what does Your Prosperous Self look like?
- Have you changed careers or started your own business?
- Did you purchase that dream home?
- Are you traveling more?
- Have you paid off debt?
- Are you donating to charity?
“Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” Napoleon Hill
Defining Your Prosperous Self will help you own your financial future, so you can expand in the direction that will serve you and the life you want to have moving forward!
Wishing You Peace & Prosperity!
